Every day at camp is full of energy, laughter, and meaningful moments.
Campers spend time learning about God, building friendships, and enjoying the outdoors through a variety of activities designed just for them.
Our volunteers and counselors guide campers throughout the day, creating a safe and encouraging environment where every child feels welcome.

Campers have the opportunity to paddle along the beautiful Big Sandy River in supervised kayaking and canoeing sessions. This activity requires additional sign-up at check-in due to limited spots and safety ratios. Kayaking/canoeing activities are fully supervised by trained staff, conducted with required life jackets, dependent on weather and river conditions, and subject to cancellation or schedule adjustments for safety. This is always a camper favorite and a memorable part of the Prayers in the Pines experience!
During Youth Camp, select campers will participate in a special Leadership Training experience designed to prepare them to serve as Junior Counselors during Kids Camp. This focused training equips youth with practical skills and spiritual encouragement to step into servant leadership roles.
Participants will learn: how to guide and support younger campers; teamwork and communication skills; safety awareness and responsibility; how to assist in games, activities, and small groups; and what it means to lead with humility, kindness, and faith.
Leadership Training includes mentorships from camp staff and discussion-based sessions that help students grow in confidence and maturity. Junior Counselors are selected based on readiness, character, and ability to attend both Youth Camp and Kids Camp.
Participation in this training does not automatically guarantee placement but is a required step in the selection process.
