Our camps are age-specific so that teaching, activities, and discussions are appropriate for each stage of development.
Kids Camp: Ages 8 to 12
Youth Camp: Ages 13 to 17
Campers are welcome to invite friends--within the appropriate age range--to camp.
If your child is only a few months short of the required age, you may contact Camp Leadership for special consideration. Each situation will be reviewed individually.
Our goal is to create the best experience possible for every camper, which is why age group guidelines are normally maintained.
Campers are supervised throughout the day by trained counselors, volunteers, and camp leadership who are committed to creating a safe and encouraging environment for every camper.
Yes! Campers will receive three meals and additional snacks throughout the day.
If your camper has food allergies or dietary needs, please include that information on the registration form.
Camp is completely free for all campers.
Thanks to the generosity of our community and supporting donors, there is no cost for children or youth to attend Prayers in the Pines. Meals are provided.
Our goal is to make sure every child has the opportunity to attend camp and grow in faith and friendship.
No. Prayers in the Pines is a day camp, not an overnight camp.
Campers participate in a full day of activities -- including Bible study, games, outdoor activities, meals, and evening campfire sessions -- but they return home each night.
This allows campers to experience the excitement and spiritual impact of camp while still sleeping at home and spending evenings with their families.
Exact drop-off and pick-up times will be shared with register families before camp.
No. Prayers in the Pines does not provide bus transportation. Parents or guardians are responsible for arranging daily drop-of and pick-up for their campers, and communicating with camp staff regarding alternate pick-up designations.
Some local churches organize carpools, and families are welcome to coordinate transportation with others in their community.
For safety and registration purposes, a parent or legal guardian must check their camper in on the first day of camp and sign the required waiver at drop-off. After that, campers may arrive with their carpool group if arrangements have been made.
If your family needs help finding a carpool option, you may contact Camp Leadership and we will try to connect you with families in your area. You are independently responsible for your carpool selections.
Camp meals are designed to be simple, familiar, and kid-friendly. We know many campers are selective eaters, so each meal typically includes foods most children recognize and enjoy.
Even if a camper doesn't love everything on the menu, there will always be something they can eat.
If your child has serious food allergies or medical dietary needs, please include that information on the registration form so we can plan accordingly.
Sample camp menus may be found on The Camp Experience page.
